Hi all bush flyers and nostalgic aircraft fans. In tribute to the PC6 Pilatus Porters finalised production in Switzerland. I have designed and built the AAK Porter. A full metal version of the legendary Porter in a timely adjusted design and size, suitable to the available Power plants and regulatory registration requirements for operation. A cool retro look with large undercarriage and suitable bush flying design, high ground clearance and powered by a Rotax 916isTurbo, this aircraft will surely impress. Suited for the extendded adventure trip in the Bush or transport and logistic support for property managment. Based on the construction and design techniques of our famous Hornet STOL and Hornet CUB this aircraft will shine with exceptional handling, great performance, fantastic visibility to match the task on hand and most of all a great fun factor for both pilots and passenger for a long time to own. Fitted with full dual controls the flight should become a joyful experience for pilot and passenger. The design and lines resemble the well-known PC 6, however the full metal AAK Porter is a little more adjusted to reduced drag, fitted with a spring-type suspention for the mains and a T3 suspention tail end. The wings are fitted with large Flaps and some neat details to make it an everyday fun aircraft going for an adventure trip In the Bush. The control system is a full push- pull rod system with direct feedback and maintenance free operation as proven in thousands of Hornet flying hours, the seating arrangement is spacious and designed for tall “Ole type guys and girls” and has adjustable seat arrangements in place…The wings for the AAK Porter are the heart and soul of our Hornet STOL and modifications make it ideal for the use on this Porter as well. This is adding a strong maintenance free full metal wing with great speed envelope, super slow flying capabilities and STOL performance to the AAK Porter. The usual CrMO steel welded centre section as one would expect from any AAK aircraft is built for strength and safety at all times in-cooperating all systems and attachment requirements, seating , controls, engine mounts and Strut fixtures Etc..Up front, I am currently installing a Rotax 916is Turbo with the typical extended long nose cowling layout to align with the classic lines. The new MTOW regulations coming into effect with the RAA will see the AAK Porter operating at 760kg MTOW. This AAK Porter is a limited-edition Adventure aircraft, designed and built by the AAK.
