  • In 2015 AAK was approached to re-engine  a Jabiru J230 LSA from Bundaberg QLD
  • The work was undertaken at the AAK Factory at Taree Airport
  • The C of A was approved by Darren Barnfield, Technical Manager of Recreation Aviation Australia (RAAus)
  • Initial and subsequent test flights produced the performance data set out below

  • ADDITIONAL NOTES:
  • This has been an uncomplicated installation with significant improvements observed.
  • The shape and form of the original slick Jabiru cowling has been maintained with minor changes to accommodate coolers and exhaust.
  • Aircraft weight has been reduced by approx. 13 kg.
  • Reliability and fuel burn have improved
  • Climb performance is significantly better.
  • Operating temperatures issues for oil and coolant are a thing of the past.
